Holding today in my arms

As it runs from me

Searching for

answers

alone in my crib

Crying for a tomorrow

That has passed

A yesterday that left too

soon

Toward a distant mountain

That echoed

nothing back

I go toward the shore

always dancing

singing through

murky tides
